Very good
April 5, 2017
When I had cancer, they explained all my care and treatment. They gave me a carer to help explain. The treatment was very caring and understanding.

Accident and emergency services

Issue was not taken seriously to begin with so had a long, uncomfortable wait but once I was seen, everything was rushed through and the service was great!
Services are really understaffed
Maternity

Overall the staff are really capable and are clearly doing their job however they are so short staffed it has an impact on patients. When I was on the maternity ward there was only one midwife between three women giving birth.
Waiting over 4 months for an appointment
Sexual Health GUM
August 19, 2016
I have been waiting for over 4 months for an appointment at the GUM clinic. I was referred by my GP and then received a letter from the clinic saying I had a deadline in which to make the appointment. Every time I call to make the appointment they say they have none available.
No problems there at all. Excellent service.

X-ray of arm: For daughter did not have to wait long, explained everything understood what they were telling me, gave choice of cast. Talked to my daughter, not just me.
Daughter needed grommets
Ear Nose and Throat

After a lengthy wait our daughter had grommets fitted in both ears. Pleased with the day and the play therapist on the ward bent over backwards to ensure our daughter settled. However the aftercare has been awful. We're told that she needed appointments three months to check then six months after. I'm the one who has to continuously ring to ask for an appointment, our six month check was due in May. We received an appointment letter yesterday. It will be at least 10 months since she was last seen when that date arrives. Just continually told no sorry, sorry he seems to have lots of appointments for good hope?. My daughter is 4 years old. I even explained the gp has said one has fallen out. Fed up of ringing around and waiting.
A rushed, sham and horrific service

I attended a gynaecology appointment for a biopsy. The doctor was rushing and having private conversations not relating to me medically as well as having to do the biopsy 4 times due to not concentrating
