Not worth a 1 star
November 4, 2024
Phoned several times. Waiting for 10 minutes for a answer when l was the first person in the queue, then when l eventually got through, the receptionist told me l needed to ask the mental health team to email the doctors proof that they requested a blood test, before they would action the request. l had to phone them a couple of times due to the fact, the receptionist said she would send me their email, but she didn’t, the receptionist from the MHT found the doctors email, and passed the request on to one of the nurses from the MHT. Then l phoned the doctors back to say l did what she told me to, she then changed the email address. l then had to repeat the whole conversation over again with the receptionist from the MHT. What a joke. I just feel there’s no compassion or understanding of any bodies need. It’s like jumping through hoops to get some help and support.
No consideration for mobility issues
November 1, 2023
It is an 8:00am appointment system. At exactly 8:00am there is 15 others in the queue. Prescription requests handed into the surgery are lost. There doesn't appear to be a permanent GP at this surgery but there are at others. I can get appointments at the other surgeries which requires the use of 2 or 3 buses to get there. There is no consideration for those with mobility issues. They have not been able to give flu jabs, covid jabs or shingles jabs for 3 years at this surgery. Its 2023 and there are no covid jabs at this surgery.
Wrong repeat prescriptions and appointments
November 1, 2023
They get my repeat prescriptions wrong nearly every time. The appointments are abysmal as they give me a date and time and when I get there they say it is wrong. For example I get there for a face to face appointments, waited 20 minutes and then they said it was a telephone consultation but nobody told me of the change. I was told to get another appointment and that it would take 4 weeks. I went to the doctors and they told me they had booked me in with the wrong nurse so I had to go back and rebook. They can't fit you in at the GP surgery they tell you to go to another surgery which could be the other side of the area as they are a group practice. since covid they have gone to pot. Nobody knows what the other is doing.

My sister wanted to see her GP for an emergency appointment. She lives in Kingstanding and they asked her to go to Erdington to another surgery for emergency appointment.
Receptionists diagnose
July 6, 2023
They're not good. All the GP's have retired so now I don't have anything to do with them because I don't really have to go. They're shocking because you can't get in. They're dragons on the reception, they diagnose and say whether you deserve an appointment. I have high blood pressure and I'm meant to be seen every 3 months because of the medication I'm on. They didn't end up seeing me for 18 months and they were meant to be seeing me regularly to see that nothing is damaged because of the medication. The receptionists should have checked with the doctor before turning me away.

Struggle to get an GP appointment. Invasive and intrusive asking from telephone receptionist. Have moved to another surgery where problem has improved.

Was with them before and they were awful. Could not get an appointment nor see someone when I needed. They were not helpful. I just had to move in the end.
