note to say I am sick but they wanted to charge for a sick note. I couldn’t pay as had no money so as a result I got my rent paid but no universal credit. I didn’t get to see a doctor it was the receptionist that told me. Receptionist was having a bad day, didn’t help me but I let it go. Just booking me for an appointment would have helped.
health checks that have been offered have been valuable. Think my cholesterol problem was picked up by blood test and feel supported getting this down. Having the nurses at the surgery is very helpful. Encouraging to take care of my asthmas due to COPD being in my family, was encouraged to have spirometry test.
I feel that a lot of people only go to the doctors when they think it's urgent because doctors have been under a lot of pressure and some seem burnt out. Yet, sometimes this can lead to illness being nipped in the bud before it becomes serious.
