Service gone downhill
July 28, 2022
Variable and inconsistent. The service has gone downhill. I had to go in to ask who my named GP was.
No appointments
July 28, 2022
No appointments and you can't get through. They used to do an online system. But now you ring and wait half hour for them to answer and they cut you off. I have to keep trying to get through to them.
Caring and understanding

They are very caring and understanding with everything. They listen and they help.
the medical etc experience is OK but see below

1. The only way of securing appointments is by phone, and since this can involve long waiting times on chargeable numbers, this impacts badly on the finances of already poor people (many £ for a 45min delay, particularly if told 'no appointments, call tomorrow') whose only means is a payg mobile. I've raised this before but no outcome. May apply equallyto other providers?
2. I have a number of repeat prescriptions, each medication triggered at different times. The pharmacist I use hasn't succeeded in persuading the surgery to get these 'in sync' so I only need to go to the pharmacist once a month. This should be avoidable.
I'd be grateful for action in each of these issues - for me, and for others similarly inconvenienced.
I'm uneager to complain to the provider lest I be struck off.

Not the greatest, Illness concern not taken seriously
Very difficult to actually see a doctor
August 6, 2021
Still very difficult to actually see a doctor, last time i was seen by a senior nurse, no open access to the surgery, have to use the intercom and then wait till someone comes to open the door and takes you in. Then when you leave, have to go out the back way through the garden! What exactly are they afraid of?
Very good surgery

Very good surgery. My GP is very competent. Have had a couple of appointments during the pandemic and fond they've maintained their high standards. No complaints at all!
Why are GP's not properly open for business The Slieve Surgery
April 17, 2021
Apart from going in to have a blood test, at their request, have not been inside the surgery for over a year. Can only get telephone consultations, in meantime have been to my opticians, have had a facial, a hair appt, all of which close contact, with PPE, why are GP's not properly open for business.
