Government announces mental health reforms, with focus on support for young people

Prime Minister Theresa May yesterday announced reforms to mental health services, with a focus on children and young people.

The announcement includes information about additional training for teachers, an extra £15m for community care, and improved support in the workplace. Measures outlined by the Prime Minister also included more focus on community-based care, training for employers and organisations to support staff, and trials strengthening links between education and NHS specialist staff.
