Long wait to access Audiology department

Long wait for Audiology appointment. My child is losing her hearing very rapidly and need to see a doctor urgently but we can't get an appointment in the near future which makes me very worried.

My son received excellent treatment.

My son was an inpatient at the Neuro ward for 10 days and received excellent treatment. The communication with the family about the treatment and aftercare was very good. He is regularly seen at the clinic for the check ups and the progress review.

I believe I wasn't being listened to.

I have been coming here since before covid. The hospital as a whole is very good but on a personal note I believe I was not listened to properly on a number of occasions. It was very hard to put my points across through to the consultant.

Started treatment very quickly.

My son was timely referred and the treatment started very quickly for his condition. He is improving thanks to the efforts of his consultant and his team.

I rate them very highly because of the great support they have provided. I took my son to A&E and from there he was referred to the consultant and the problem was properly diagnosed.

Have to wait ages to give blood samples

All the time we are seen on time by the consultant but have to wait for ages to give blood samples.

Apart from the parking everything else is very good. The doctors and nurses are very kind and helpful. They engage with you very well.

Made her comfortable over the last 11 years.

We have been coming here for the last 11 years and our experience has been excellent. My daughter has a rare condition and the support provided in the last 11 years has made things comfortable and manageable for her.

Decided to go private

My daughter has severe autism and has been holding in urine for a year which causes her severe pain. We take her sometimes weekly but doctors don't know what is going on with her. It's so horrible to see so now we've decided to go private as they have tried to help but can't find what is wrong with her.
