'The best in Birmingham'

Everything here is good. My daughter has had a heart condition from birth, she was born here. There are variable lengths of time between appointments. Travel here is easy by bus. The hospital is 'the best in Birmingham'.

Communication here 'so much better'

Have to travel from another area every 6 months for an appointment after being referred by our local Hospital approx 1 year ago. The communication here is so much better. There are good child interest/interaction waiting activities. The treatment is good and staff very professional. The hospital is clean and tidy, reception is good and the parking is reasonable.

From birth - very good, doing the job. Have to come every 6 months for an appointment.
Good provisions for children, for example, the playgroup.
Brilliant, helpful staff.
Transport easy - driving.

Treatment and consultant are fantastic

My son was referred from another city 5 years ago to Birmingham by a consultant for a different condition (skin). But at Birmingham, Crohn's was diagnosed but our GP said there was nothing wrong, so it was a case of near death for our autistic boy.
Now the treatment and consultant at Birmingham are fantastic (life saver).
I don't mind waiting to see him as he is very busy (double booked).

Staff fantastic

I've been bringing my daughter since she was 1 week old. The care has always been good and the staff are fantastic. Waiting can be a nightmare - sometimes over 4 hours - this is fine but they could keep us better informed.
Could do with more hand gel to clean hands, especially with the current viruses floating around.
The hospital has always been good if I've needed to change my appointment times.
I've used lots of the different hospital services - all very good.

Staff communicated really well

Excellent care and treatment - dealing with 4 different departments today, already been to 2 and the staff have been lovely so far. No issues with getting the appointments as promised - the staff communicated really well between departments to make all the appointments happen on the same day.

Always a high level of care

Been here many times with my son - always a high level of care and my sons treatment is always explained really well. Doctors, nurses and reception staff here really do care.

Toilets very dated

Used to come a lot when my daughter was little, I cannot fault the service - good level of care and treatment. The mobile phone charging unit is really useful. The toilets are dated, the hand dryers didn't work and there's no hook on the back of the door to hang a jacket.

Absolutely Brilliant

Absolutely brilliant - been great with my son. We have 4/5 appointments today and they've been arranged all in one place instead of me going to different departments - even his Oncology doctor is coming over instead of us going to them, making things much easier and the process much smoother - excellent.

Everything is always perfect

I bring my little one for x-rays - everything has been really good so far. I have been before and everything is always perfect/very good. The level of care is very good and treatment is always explained well.
