Feel neglected

August 16, 2023
They have sent letter for appointment but they have not said what it is for. Communication has been shocking. Feel neglected in the lack of communication and I have still not met my midwife @ 23 weeks. Don’t break down information or tell me in a way that I understand even after telling them. I have ADHD.

They are brilliant

August 16, 2023
Since being under mental health team I have got more help than Longbridge CMHT. They are brilliant. They have picked up on things that have not been picked up on. They referred me onto perinatal mental health team and Bethal Doula network. Have been impressed, they have done more for my mental health than other mental health team.

Good communication

August 16, 2023
Been here a few times. Not too bad. Good communication and somewhat let me know what’s going on with my care. Getting around the hospital can be a bit of a maze. Staff have been helpful. Found the transfer of care to women’s seamless from Longbridge CMHT. But they are not been great. Just section you and give you medicines. I have been on a waiting list for therapy for 7 years. Just not very good.

Worried about this pregnancy

August 16, 2023
3rd baby and miscarried previously so worried about this pregnancy. During last pregnancy they didn’t educate me, just told me the baby had a lot of water in the tommy and they didn’t speak to me about it properly. Could do with more help and information.

Felt rushed and they slipped up

August 7, 2023
My waters broke 4 days before my son was born and I had strep. The day my son was discharged, we ended up in A&E as he had sepsis. I feel like they rush it all and slipped up really.

Cancelled appointments with no reason

July 26, 2023
They said they couldn't do an MRI scan until they saw previous scans. They've cancelled appointments without reason and didn't give me a new one. I was given the Endometriosis/gynaecology's wards secretaries number to contact and they didn't answer, they ignored my calls and told my mom to stop calling. When I eventually saw the consultant they said my growth was at risk of bursting and they said it would need an ultrasound in 2 weeks and an operation within 2 months and that was back in March, I've since been given an appointment for an ultrasound but no explanation as to what for.

Very attentive, everything is perfect

Well it's all been very quick and they're very attentive, almost too attentive. Everything is perfect especially with me being high risk.

Good staff, better communication

July 21, 2023
Generally absolutely fine and I'm well looked after. Tommy's miscarriage clinic are amazing and the consultant is great. Most departments are fabulous but some need improvement. I came a couple of weeks ago for routine blood tests then received a letter saying I needed to come for more, with no explanation as to what for. I called my consultant and he didn't know what they were for and then tried the switchboard for other maternity departments. Ended up being a mix up at the labs and one of my blood vials hadn't been labeled correctly. I would just like a little bit of compassion with my history, that would have been good. I can't fault the people here, it's just the system and how it operates.
