Couldn't have a better service

Gynaecology
February 18, 2025
I was seen on time, treated with courtesy and respect. Couldn’t have had better service.
I had been waiting for an appointment since April 2023 when my condition deteriorated I was referred to women’s hospital and was seen quickly my GP contacted Good Hope to try and expedite my appointment no joy so referred me to women’s hospital. If I had received treatment earlier my problem would not have been so severe or urgent.

Got tests following diagnosis abroad

February 5, 2025
They tested my daughter at the genetics service for Malan syndrome. This was done after we had a diagnosis in Cyprus. I do think had I not got the diagnosis they wouldn't have done the tests and got the diagnosis as quickly as they did. It took a total of 6 months for the confirmation.

Won't give me a hysterectomy

Gynaecology
February 5, 2025
They tell me they won't do a hysterectomy because I'm overweight and they don't offer the support. They want me to get down to a BMI of 35. I'm restricted with movement but they don't offer any other support.

A good experience. The nurses were great. I was waiting to hear about dates for a C-Section and it came last minute. The aftercare has been good.

Mostly good

Maternity

It was a good service mostly but I wasn't happy with the midwife. She ignored my symptoms and she should have checked. I was rushed to delivery. Postnatal care was good however.
