City Hospital

They kept me in for one week after I had my accident and then they referred me to the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital. I have also attended the rheumatology department, it took a while for me to get referred from my GP as I saw them last year about my issue and finally got my first appointment last week.

Process of booking interpreter is very difficult for that you have to phone which I can’t. As a result usually I don’t have a interpreter. There is a nurse who does interpretation for me.

Once I went to A&E with cut on my head and they put stiches on it even though I didn’t wanted it but was unable to communicate because of lack of BSL interpreter and they put the stiches, which was very painful.

Waited in A&E for 7 hours but when they did see me they were good.

I had a c-section and had to stay in for 4 days. I didn't find the hospital clean, especially the bathrooms, and there was no privacy on the wards. They were too loud for babies, women were playing music loud on their phones.
Some of the midwives were good and one stayed and came to see me after I had had the baby. But the midwives on the ward after having my baby were not so good. I considered making a complaint but never followed it up

Rheumatoid arthritis - 3 months blood tests are amazing, really good. Even during lockdown, continuity of care. Went in during Covid.

Definitely no complains, in and out in no time. Appointments send through text and send a letter afterwards. Know my way around. Difficult to find parking at times. But fine.

Waiting since long for appointment for injection in foot at hospital. I have been to hospital before and they were good, but have not heard from them since and had to chase up.

It’s alright stayed as an inpatient. Decent clean ward and nurses are okay. Explained things to me, kept me informed. Food was alright.

Feel comfortable, they treat me well. Always feel welcomed. Go if I can’t see my GP.
