Excellent service

Accident and emergency services

I would like to give a huge compliment to the staff they took care of us at Sandwell a&e and bch, I took my child into a&e Sandwell yesterday he swollowed a coin n was half way, after the X-ray I was that I will have to go children's hospital bham, I was so distressed, they provided transport to and back from bham children's hospital, the staff were so nice they took good care of us.
I was also fasting I had to break my fast at the bch. The nurse there went out her way and found me a space where I could pray. She was so lovely. So were the doctors. I wish them all success and a happy life. Thank you very much. I really appreciate it.

Couldn't cope with the smell

Accident and emergency services

I was with my mother on MAU when a member of staff was working close to my mom wearing a red top and blue trousers. Im sorry but I know people smoke but I think in a hospital there should be some kind of rules on wearing uniform while smoking. Its ok having a clean hospital when the staff smell of smoke.

Couldn't have coped so well without the staff

General Surgery

I hope the staff that I came in contact with on July 2nd, get to hear this. They where informative, friendly and even though I wasn't ill and in a side room on my own, they made time to have a chat and a giggle with me, which made all the difference. Nurses do not get told often enough, when they have gone above and beyond their job...and these girls did on D27. Please tell them that Shirley Wynn bed 16, sends deepest thanks.

Slow and terrible attitude

General Surgery
July 3, 2015
Disgusting attitude evident from nurses, looked down on every visitor; spoke to me very patronising and rudely, felt like I was in school again, very slow care, kept delaying a head scan (cancelling one changing a day, suddenly changing scans)
Also very inconsiderate at night and early morning (loud voices, lights on/off, talking loudly)

FANTASTIC STAFF AND PROFESSIONAL TREATMENT.

June 14, 2015
I was referred to the Breast Unit at The Treatment Centre at City Hospital after a routine mammogram detected an abnormality. From that first appointment the staff were superb, caring and knowledgeable. They treated me with the utmost respect. Within 8 weeks I had biopsies, day surgery and then follow up appointment to be given great news I was now all clear. I have never experienced such service whereby every member of staff were team players with your b est interest at heart. A BIG THANK YOU.

I found it quite easy to inform the Cataract Clinic of my need to change an appointment I had been offered.

Don't go here if you have cancer

June 9, 2015
I have a large lump in my neck that my GP believes is cancer. I received an appointment on the evening my appointment letter arrived - it was on the doormat when I got home from work. No doubt I will have to wait another 2 weeks for them to pull themselves together.

Excellent care from whole team

June 1, 2015
I was on surgical day care today. The care I received from everyone I met was fantastic. Everything was explained to me.
I am a nurse at another local hospital and its was nice to be on the receiving end of care I would be proud to give to the children in my care at work.
