Extremely good hospital
June 10, 2021
I was an inpatient at Moseley Hall Hospital for about 6 weeks. I was taken to Moseley Hall Hospital for rest and physiotherapy after I had suffered a spinal stroke. I am a coeliac as I have an allergy to gluten. The head of the hospital dieticians and catering department came to see me every day to work out my menu for the day. She was extremely kind and nothing was too much trouble. The nursing sisters on ward 4 were kindness itself and their nursing staff were also extremely kind to me. The physiotherapy unit for ward 4 helped me considerably as well. Moseley Hall Hospital is an extremely good hospital and I was treated extremely well there for which I am very grateful.

My stepdad was referred here after having a head injury however myself and family have been restricted from speaking to my stepdad after his next of kin told the hospital to stop contact with anyone but him. The hospital have done exactly this and now my stepdad is left without his family support. They have took away his rights. The nurses do not help and will not allow us to have contact with him.
ward 8 night staff absolutely shocking

My mothers first night on this ward she was pulled about by her arms which hurt her, told to wipe her own bottom when she has no left side movement made to sit up the bed by herself, when I was on the phone and asked for the nurses name in question I was told her name was forgot, disgusting treatment for a elderly patient whose had a stroke

My mother-in-law lives in sheltered housing. She has chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and the GP has arranged domiciliary respiratory care via Moseley Hall Hospital. Her COPD is being well managed and she has not been to hospital this year. She has an emergency pack at home which has allowed her take control of the COPD and manage the symptoms. She sees the same nurse on a regular basis - they have a good relationship. She can call the nurse if she needs to between the visits.

Regular patient at assessment and treatment. Staff are friendly and caring. Always seen on time. They really care and if you are unable to attend because of illness etc they call to see how you are. I even had a sympathy card after a bereavement
Very Stressful and upsetting

Incontinence team - keep ordering pads to suit themselves and not what I need. I think if would be really good if people that use services like incontinence pads or specialist equipment should rate the service and staff. An independent survey should be done regarding long term service which are being used.
