Absolute refusal to be referred to specialist

Absolute refusal to be referred to specialist for back problem since last five years by my GP.
Decent care and treatment given.

They are quite good with getting an appointment. They don’t make me wait a lot. Don’t see them often but when I do they’re are fine. Decent care and treatment given.

You phone up on the day and you always get an appointment on the same day. They always explain things to you and there is a great level of care. Good referral to the CMHT, only waited 3 days for an appointment. I told them I was feeling down and the doctor suggested it may help to come to the CMHT. He explained what they would do there.
Very professional, very quick to spot things. Your welfare very important to them. You can talk to them about anything and they explain to you in layman's terms.

They are a good service and normally I can get appointments when I meet them. However, when I went to talk to them about my eating disorder 5 months ago, doctor just told me to drink more, and didn’t do any further test or give me any information about eating disorders. 3 months later I was really not well and ended up collapsing at work. I went back to my GP and saw a different doctor. This was my 9th day not eating, 3 days of not drinking. The doctor did blood test and saw that my body was starving. They referred me to mental health services and barberry clinic to me straight away for help me with right information.

Over 20 or more years my doctor has helped me with several ailments, mainly chronic back pain and severe depression, and nothing, and I mean nothing, was too much for him.
He would always listen to me and recommend new ways and medications to help, he sent me to a pain management course and it was amazing help, he put me in touch with Birmingham Healthy Minds, an amazing if not the best counselling service for Depression and although I still have issues, I control them now.

keep making appointments and they keep cancelling them and sending letters out to you saying you have not made any appointments to see any one
