Hard to get face to face appointment

August 9, 2023
Just get phone calls appointment wise. It's a struggle to see them face to face. They deal with my diabetes but it's hard to get a face to face appointment.

They have too many patients

July 11, 2023
Sometimes get appointment and sometimes don’t. start calling at 8am and wait a long time but they didn’t answer. They have too many patients. I give up with those people. Went to the GP for mental health issues and they prescribed me medication but I would like to do counselling. They said they would refer me on but they have not done anything yet.

Explain symptoms and they cut you off

June 7, 2023
Impossible to get an appointment. I've seen a lot of staff come and go. When you have an appointment, you have to wait an hour to see the GP. It seems like it's the norm. You'll explain symptoms and they will cut you off and prescribe medication. My daughter was having headaches which I thought was down to her Mental Health. They said it wasn't her Mental Health and that she'd get over it.

Easy to arrange

Had blood text, easy to arrange. Called on Tuesday and asked for a time for Thursday and they arranged it.

Disappointing

April 10, 2023
Long telephone ques and then no appointments. When you say how urgent the support you require is they say call tomorrow or go to a walk in centre. When you attend the practice it is not busy and not an informative environment

I have had to wait 10 months

November 30, 2022
As I am a carer its most important that professionals are on board to assist. During Covid it was particularly difficult for general practitioners to provide services necessary, however it should be possible by now to alleviate some duties by full staffing . Not time spend waiting to get through by phone calls. It has become rather sad for the nation to be told you are in the queue of 21 waiting and then told we have no staff. Also I have had to wait 10 months and still have not seen a specialist for my condition of Arthritis. As you can fully understand for a carer to be unwell and looking after a terminally ill patient, it’s more than difficult. Liaising with other medical providers needs more attention than is presently. It will accomplish far firmer relationship and strengthen the health service.

Gone down hill with new owners!

October 25, 2022
Never enough doctors or nurses, and they have now refused wound care at the practice. Even though the nurse is a specialist in wound care! The new management only care about money they don't care for the patients well being. That's why you are allowed 5 to 10 min appointment times as well.

1hour on the phone. 2 blunt phone calls less

October 14, 2022
I appreciate the stress the GP practice is under but could of had the same conversation with computer. Went through a very impersonal checklist of my symptoms, on both phone calls. Doctor especially very blunt - very personal conversation cut short because I understood almost immediately she didn't want to hear what I had to say, signed off for a week with 'not needing another assessment'. Where was my initial one? I really don't think anyone cares anymore. Maybe if appointments were face 2 face again the practice could see how much the public are struggling too.
