Failure to refer

June 11, 2021
For almost a decade I had on my record that they suspect I have rheumatoid arthritis and I was not made aware until I received a print off of my record to go to a&e with during pregnancy. This meant no referral was ever made. I have recently had an x ray that shows degeneration in my knees (gp failed to call to tell me this, I had to call myself) and was told I need a referral. I called as I had not received an appointment in the advised timeframe and that’s because they failed to make the referral. Not only do I now have to wait again in a considerable amount of pain, I have to question if this would even have happened if they referred me when they suspected it when I was 11. I am now 25 potentially waiting for knee replacements because they can’t even make a referral properly

Brilliant

They have been brilliant during the pandemic. Telephone consultations are so much better, and they call when they say they will

When I get a call back I can't answer

March 22, 2021
Tried to get an appointment the recorded message is so long, Once that's finished they tell you what position you are in 30 mins later I was put through to reception told they will get a doctor to call me later Some of us are at work and not allowed to use our mobiles so when I get a call back I can't answer it because after a long wait HOURS I am at work with my phone locked in my locker. They keep telling us the NHS is open NO ITS NOT.

The doctors are no longer seeing patients

February 5, 2021
The drs are no longer seeing patients yet the receptionists send out texts to make appointments, but you only get to speak to a triage nurse, who doesn’t look at your records. I have really bad piles and consequently have to take dolculax every day, I have been having the capsules for more years than I can remember, then they got that bad with bleeding I had to have extra help with suppositories and extra laxatives which my gp gave me on prescription (I’m 68). But when I asked for a repeat prescription, I was told by the triage nurse that I would have to purchase these from the chemist has the drs no longer prescribed laxatives on prescription
Funny, I still get my repeat every month and guess what yes I have 100 dolculax capsules. I really don’t get it, I could really do with seeing a gp face to face for them to let me know that I haven’t got anything underlying had I’ve been suffering for over 12 months now.

No issues

March 19, 2020
No issues although they don’t fully understand my condition. It’s like you are under mental health services so it’s not our concern. They also look at me like this because I am 17 and should be able to take care and deal with things myself.
