They can squeeze me in

July 28, 2022
They can squeeze me in. when I go there physically you stand a better chance to get an afternoon appointment. The phone is inundated but they offer a call back service for an appointment.

I am still awaiting for a treatment.

July 4, 2022
Still awaiting to see someone about my feet. I have little feeling in them.
The last check up was in April with the doctor. There is an issue of there not being many chiropodist. I am still awaiting for a treatment. I used to go every 3-6 weeks before and not getting to a private chiropodist is an issue for me especially with me being diagnosed with disability.
Would like to see more Chiropodist on NHS like before as it is not always possible to pay privately especially if you are on low income.
I have had to go to the GP 5 times to see if the doctors who I have been advised to see is available, only to be denied access to see him.
Instead a receptionist came out to visit me and provided the medications. I later complained to the practice manager but not heard anything of it.

The receptionists are brilliant

The receptionists are brilliant. I can’t say the same for the way drs are still phoning people and making diagnoses over the phone.

Getting a same day appointment is hard.

September 14, 2021
During covid, it has not been possible to go in. It has been difficult to make an appointment. Phones ring, and it takes multiple calls to get into the queue, the message is that the lines are so busy, that the queues are closed. Getting a same day appointment is hard. I needed to collect a letter last week, and it was difficult to communicate through the in intercom. I overheard a lady trying to get some help for her husband who was dying. She said one of the Drs had told her if she needed anything to speak to a specific Dr, however the receptionist didn't listen to her or sound very empathetic. The lady was clearly distressed and what I witnessed wasn't very kind care or communication. However some of the Drs and staff have been supportive in the past. It would be good if there was consistently this level of service.

Failure to refer

June 11, 2021
For almost a decade I had on my record that they suspect I have rheumatoid arthritis and I was not made aware until I received a print off of my record to go to a&e with during pregnancy. This meant no referral was ever made. I have recently had an x ray that shows degeneration in my knees (gp failed to call to tell me this, I had to call myself) and was told I need a referral. I called as I had not received an appointment in the advised timeframe and that’s because they failed to make the referral. Not only do I now have to wait again in a considerable amount of pain, I have to question if this would even have happened if they referred me when they suspected it when I was 11. I am now 25 potentially waiting for knee replacements because they can’t even make a referral properly
