They took a while to arrive.
December 18, 2023
I called an ambulance for my sister. They took a while to come. She was in severe pain. We kept calling back and they didn't come quicker. They eventually turned up and took her to Heartlands hospital. The staff are usually good it just takes a long time and they cannot help her.
Came out quickly.

They took my wife to hospital. I rang them initially and they said it was not urgent. They asked a lot of questions and then sent someone quickly. They came within 30 minutes. They're brilliant.

My son got injured at a bus stop so I called an ambulance as it would not stop bleeding. They asked lots of questions for 1 hour before even sending an ambulance. He was bleeding so badly. Why do they ask all of these questions. They should send help quicker.

My husband was taken to A&E via ambulance. He was made to wait two hours for it to come out and then a further two hours stuck on the back of the ambulance. The staff kept up his morale but he was in pain and he needed to be seen.

Told I didn't qualify for an ambulance
November 14, 2023
I rang for an ambulance in November last year due to being in uncontrollable pain. I had a severe infection in my gallbladder requiring emergency surgery. When I rang 999 I was told that I didn't qualify for an ambulance and would have to get a taxi. I was vomiting constantly with the in and couldn't walk. My elderly dad took me in the end and my mum had to get me a wheelchair when we got to the hospital.
