Came out quickly
June 10, 2024
They came out to my son at his friends house really quickly when he passed out. They did his observations and his BP was really low. He could hardly stand.
Told me I was fine, I was having a stroke.

I called an ambulance when I was having a stroke. They took nearly 2 hours to come out to me and I had to call them several times. They came out and re-assessed me and said I was okay. Then a few hours later I was still having symptoms and then decided to take me to hospital. They didn't want to listen to me. I had a stroke.
Took him straight to hospital

He had collapsed and was vomiting. We had just come back from holiday. They thought he had a deadly bug. They took him to hospital and put him in a side room because they thought he was highly infectious.
Came quickly but just left me

I called an ambulance that came really quickly. They wheeled me in and plonked me in front of a desk and left me there. Felt like a prisoner.

We called for an ambulance when my son stopped breathing and they came within 3 minutes. They were going to take him to Heartlands but I said no and so they took him to the Children's. They listened to me and were very good.
There were so good and so kind.

They were so good and kind and they got me some biscuits. They really looked after me. I didn't wait long for them. They gave me some tablets and a drink and took me to hospital.
Felt very confident with the care.

I tried to call an ambulance for my husband when we thought he was having a stroke. I was told there were no ambulances at all in my area and that I would have at least a six hour wait. I was asked to bring him to the hospital myself. I did , but after more than three hours we came home as we hadn’t been seen and it was nearly midnight and we were exhausted and as his speech was coming back he wanted to go home .
