Massively Understaffed & Poor Quality Care

July 1, 2022
No MDT approach, Been waiting for 4 months now for CPN & still unsure when I will be allocated due to them not having enough nurses.

Been waiting for depot medication for one month after having all tests completed, Psychiatrist is off sick & I quote “They have no doctor”. Low staff levels have affected my treatment and left me cycling through moods as I have no medication, I also have had no care plan provided or crisis plan which is completely unacceptable.

Raised complaint but was advised that the process is currently taking up to 6 months from the date received and Investigating officer is appointed.

Leave you to rot

June 16, 2022
The worse experience of my life. Dont listen to a thing you say just shove you on medication and leave you to it. Seems like they only have one physcaritrist as she's been off sick all month and cant see anyone else. Go on and on about how they're in charge of your care and always here to help but when you do call you can only get through to the receptionist who is less the helpful.

Or they tell you to call the crisis line. I attempted suicide luckily my partner found me
Was on hold for 3 hours to then be told a doctor would call meback as I was at risk.

Never heard from them again. I feel for the people who have no freinds or family to support them through this as if they were in charge of my care alone I would be dead.

I joined the team as I was told I can no longer ignore my mental health . I was better off before this has been hell.

Appalling Care

June 14, 2022
Every time I try to get in touch with the team they either fail to get back to me or no one seems to have any answers to my questions. Rude, psychologically abusive and unprofessional staff.

Things are getting better with yewcroft.

May 20, 2022
Since last year things are getting better with yewcroft, I now speak to the psychiatrist more often which is good. The only things that drive me mad is that the communication is not the best Ie getting GP to do meds which is fine but you need to tell me. Also the receptionist is so dam rude, when I bring up stuff for improvement it's well it's not my problem. When I was a receptionist I wouldn't dream of speaking to people that way.

If I could give a 0 I would.

Stopped all my medications, I literally begged for supplementary therapy as all my mental health symptoms returned...put me on an 18 month waiting list. Asked for a different psychiatrist they told me I'd have to go back on a 12 month waiting list to see another one.
Absolutely useless and should be ashamed to call themselves mental health experts...

They keep changing my appointments miss informing me I've asked for councilling and therapy they just tell me there's a year waiting list and they don't put me on it I've actually thought about moving half way across the country to refer myself to other mental health team because they are not helping me at all

Not providing a service at all

May 6, 2021
I'm meant to have appointments with the psychiatrist every 6 weeks. After waiting four months for my next appointment, they then phoned to say the psychiatrist is off sick and that they had no one else who could see patients. They said I'll go on a waiting list to see a temporary replacement, but that they haven't got one at the moment.

They then sent me a letter full of spelling mistakes, telling me to not call them, but to call a mental health charity if I need to speak to someone. I think its disgusting that the mental health trust for this city can't provide even a basic service. Surely they should be checking with all their patients how well we are to wait, rather than palming us off onto a different organisation!

I can't get a prescription from a charity, I need to speak to a doctor! I also had test results I needed to speak to someone about, but they said they've passed them onto my GP, who is impossible to get hold of. Why make it so hard for people with mental illness who are vulnerable. Absolutely shocking.

Difficult to communicate

Reasonable experience. Often difficult to contact psychiatrist when needed even though they advise to contact them if any questions. Can be difficult to communicate with reception/ admin staff on phone.

Appalling Receptionists

November 19, 2020
The receptionists here do not know how to speak to people or how to handle people with mental health issues. They are more concerned about themselves rather than the needs of the patient. They give false information that exacerbates a patients stress levels and intimately make the patients worse by their lack of understanding and empathy! 5 years my daughter was under this team and they are still yet to help her properly, trying to get my daughter moved to a different team that will hopefully help her on her road to recovery.
