Service has hindered her
May 24, 2023
I've been trying to get my daughter on the services and it has hindered her. The children's hospital said no to taking her case in A&E even though they found a tremor and injury. She had open heart surgery there previously too.
I had to chase the appointment

I had to chase the appointment for my daughter for medicine review. I shouldn’t be doing it, they should be arranging it for us.
Can’t wait 24 hours
May 24, 2023
Came in at 9pm and not seen until next day. Not what we are used to. Need to have relationship with doctor. Can’t wait 24 hours. Used to be different.
Great hospital

Great hospital. Taken a bit of time to be referred but used for my other children in the past. Not had appointments yet but checking in at reception and finding my ward is easy.
Its okay

Its okay. Good communication about appointments. Staff are very good, can call them with any issue about ENT, but sometimes can take a long time for call back, but they are good. Too much pressure on the NHS. Had appendix removed and they were good.
They listen to me

I like it here, they listen to me and tell me jokes.
Amazing service under liver unit
May 24, 2023
Coming for 10 years, amazing service under liver unit. Pre-op today and in for surgery tomorrow, same thing every 6 months. Have all the time in the world for him.
Have to wait for 6 months
May 24, 2023
Using the hospital is great, have to wait for 6 months for an appointment with audiology department. My sister had to wait for 18 months for an appointment with another department. So not too bad in grand system of things.
Spacious and not two busy

2nd time – Audiology. Spacious and not two busy. Appointment this afternoon no problems. Had an awareness text and they explained what they were going to do. Today is a follow up appointment.
Brilliant
May 23, 2023
Brilliant been quite a bit over the past year. Was born at stoke and has a heart condition. Then was transferred via ambulance to here. Wasn’t able to go in transport as she needed the nurses etc. to be with her but they kept me well informed about her. Horrendous experience with operation for stent to be fitted, which should have taken 2.5 hours but ended up having unscheduled open heart surgery. After 2.5 hours I don’t knew what was going on so went to the ward to find out and they told me. Don’t think I would have been told if I hadn’t gone to check. They put us up in accommodation. Remained in hospital for 4 weeks.
