Short wait at A&E
Accident and emergency services
September 2, 2024
I came to A&E, it wasn't too long of a wait. They explained everything very well and ended up needing a cast. That day was a short wait. I was surprised as no one was there.
No problems

It's okay, no problems with appointments. It was a follow up and they took the cast off. I have to see the doctor too.
They explained everything.

We got through A&E quite quickly as he broke his arm. They got him through to day care, all was quite quick.

The physiotherapist has been a great support. He came onto the ward to do physiotherapy too which was good.
A massive thank you to ward 5

My daughter stayed for 3 weeks. It was fine. They were lovely, but of all the staff the cleaning lady was the favourite worker there. She was always happy and chatty, lovely. The nurse was also great. They allowed us to stay with her as much as we could. I just want to say a massive thank you for all of their support.
Kept us informed and ran on time.

Good. They have a good sense of humour, they're funny. They kept the appointment time and kept us informed on what was happening. Thank you.

Because she came in due to an RTC they took her straight in when arriving at A&E. She had to have scans. She had a bleed on the brain and fluid on her lungs and kidneys. They transferred her to the ward the next day. Thank you for the care and support.
Excellent but better parking needed.

Parking is not good. It usually takes longer than the journey itself. You can drive around looking for disabled/wheelchair spaces and often the space is not suitable. Orthotics are excellent but better parking is needed.
