Not told about tumor, disappointed in the NHS

June 5, 2023
I was referred to the women's after a scan found I had a problem with a disc in my spine. I thought they had got it wrong as I did not have any issues for why I would have to go there. I turned up on the day and they told me I was going for a CT scan. Afterwards the nurses were asking me what symptoms I had and I was very confused. They told me that the scan I'd had the Queen Elizabeth Hospital back in August 2022 had shown I had a tumor on my ovary. Not one person had told me this, not even my own doctor. I am so disappointed in the NHS.

Midwives alright, happy with them

Been a couple of times, it's been alright. Clinic running behind, but they let me know as soon as I got to the check in desk. Midwives are alright. Overall I'm very happy with them.

Everything's fine

Everything has been fine, not waiting too long. Waited 3 hours one time, but had a scan with the midwife and doctor today and it's not been as long.

Staff are overworked

June 2, 2023
It's dependent on the staff and if they've had a bad day. I feel like if you know what you're on about they don't like it. Had a lovely student treat me. I feel like they are overworked. My appointment was at 1pm and not waiting too long. I was waiting ages the other week and the consultant said he didn't know why I was there for. The clinic was running late and I was told they're all on lunch.

Communication from fertility was good

June 2, 2023
It's good. All the staff are always helpful, waiting times can be quite long, but generally tends to be okay. It's hard to say what they could really do with, maybe more communication. It can take a bit of chasing to get an antenatal appointment but for fertility, communication was very good.
