A 5 star service.

I had my leg amputated on Wednesday. They have looked after me. They have given me morphine but I am not using it as much now as the pain is now manageable. The staff have been amazing. Kind and caring. A 5 star service.

I had my appendix out at Christmas. They were excellent. Really accommodating and looked after me well. It's horrible being in hospital over Christmas but the staff were excellent and kind and they kept my spirits up.

They looked after my premature daughter

January 10, 2024
The maternity at Heartlands were brilliant at looking after my premature daughter. She was meant to be born in November but had her in August. They were brilliant. They made a bed on ICU for me and I looked after her around the clock. I was discharged after 2 days but they allowed me to see her 18 hours a day and they were so facilitating.

Good care but long waiting times

January 10, 2024
I had an incident in A&E and I was in there for 11 hours and the queue was ridiculous. I ended up being put on a ward at 4am. My daughter slept next to me. There was a 3 hour wait in NMU and they changed my medication. They are hit or miss but the care received was very good. Just long waiting times.

Overcrowded and over run

January 9, 2024
The seating areas were packed. People were queuing outside it was so crowded. It was ridiculous. How people are getting anything from them or getting help is beyond me. There is no organisation. They're over run, the service is useless. You feedback into services and nothing changes.

Amazing care and follow up appoiintments

January 9, 2024
I ended up in A&E with symptoms and they did some tests. It turned out I had stage 3 bowel cancer. They got the treatment and care sorted really quickly. I was referred onto Solihull for my surgery. This hospital has been amazing. Including all the follow up appointments and care

Very busy, rude and unhelpful

January 4, 2024
The hospital is very busy and the staff are very rude and unhelpful. I live 2 minutes away from the hospital but I prefer to go to the Children's because of the better care and support available.
