Well men's health check up

On arrival to my appointment on 23rd December I was greeted by the nurse. I found the nurse to be extremely rude and negative towards me. She implied that I was obese after measuring my waist. I thought that this could have been worded more positively and with sensitivity. I know I am slightly over weight which I am addressing but I feel some people could be adversely affected by this comment. I felt very deflated after my visit and upset. My wife went in after me and the nurse commented on the contrast in size between us which I also feel is unprofessional.
I think a more positive approach to people's health would be beneficial.
