Absolutely not fit for purpose

Been with surgery 32 yrs and now left to another practise. Required a referral for shoulder operation and been ringing since Sept 22 no response at all and the worst 2 phone calls it took 140 and 204 calls before got though and then call was dropped,even walked into practise at 8.01 to be told we don't take appointments face to face, and rang in front of the staff only for call to be constantly dropped. This surgery is not fit for purpose

Helpful when you ring with enquiries I.e prescriptions.
Generally very good with referrals and follow up care.
Most appointments over the phone ,but feel would see you in house if necessary

Every time I have to see a new doctor

My GP left and I have depression & anxiety and every time I have to see a new doctor since last 12 months, I have to explain everything from start which is very difficult.

A lot of services over the computer

They don't see me face to face, it's all over the phone. They're doing a lot of things over the computer and I don't use it. You can only ring doctors at a certain time.

Since Covid, its been a little difficult. Something I could say, I have had to have a scan on my head. They booked a referral appointment for me at Solihull Hospital.

Needs improvement

I have been at this surgery many years and despite always hanging on the phone, got a face to face appt. Now with this new AccuRx system they tell you to use for almost everything is turned to accepting no more when they obviously get too many requests which is not acceptable. You still can't get a face to face appt unless you insist at your telephone appt which is doubling the gp time dealing with a patient. They have now opened the doors at the surgery when they were locked for patients to check own temperature, hand sanitise and wait in a small queuing area. Most patients don't follow instructions so could be bringing covid into the surgery. I can understand they were fed up getting up and down to let people in and out the door but leaving as it is, is not acceptable! They are also losing the nurse practitioner now too who was really good and use too many locums. They need to sort themselves out and go back to how good they were pre covid but without the rude receptionists.
