A lot of care is taken
Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
February 26, 2025
I was seen within half an hour so was fairly quick. I had a thorough examination, I was concerned over a lump. A biopsy has been ordered and a lot of photographs have been taken. A lot of care is taken. They did a good job. They got a second opinion too. The safe is nice and clean here too.
Really good

Really good. Very good care from staff and they take time to listen. The specialists have sorted fake teeth that were poorly fit.

My mum had treatment for a gum infection. The trainee dentists were so good and helpful.
Rude staff
unknown

When a previous dentist left, I hoped it would mark the end of the terrible bedside manner I had experienced from some dentists at this practice. He was rude, far from gentle, and made me dread every appointment, so I felt relieved when I heard he was retiring.
However, today’s experience with my new dentist was just as disappointing. I couldn’t even tell you his name because he didn’t introduce himself. A lovely female dentist ended up taking over my appointment since my new dentist was busy, and she was absolutely wonderful. But when my actual dentist finally came over—for about 30 seconds—he didn’t acknowledge me, barely spoke, and just prodded my mouth before leaving.
What upset me the most was how he handled a concern with my brace. A piece fell off the morning before my appointment while I was brushing my teeth, and I know exactly when it happened. Instead of addressing me directly or asking for clarification, he spoke to his colleagues as if I wasn’t there, insisting that the brace couldn’t have moved that much in a day—essentially suggesting I was lying.
This was incredibly rude and made me feel uncomfortable about returning to the practice. It’s a shame because there are some wonderful dentists here, but it seems that those in senior positions lack basic bedside manner and the ability to communicate respectfully with patients.
On top of that, the constant switching between dentists has made my treatment feel disorganized. Every time I’m passed from one dentist to another, they seem confused about the plan for my braces, and I’m left feeling like there’s no clear direction. They also speak in jargon without explaining things properly, which makes it even harder to understand what’s going on with my treatment.
