GP made me feel comfortable and able to talk.
October 16, 2023
My experience was very positive. The GP was very supportive and understanding when I addressed my concerns. Due to my anxiety and low mood I was offered anti-depressants. They have been quite helpful, although they haven't always worked however my GP made me feel comfortable to talk about my issues and created a relaxed environment for me.
Same day appointments if needed.

They're okay. I don't use them often but they're good. My parents will usually book an appointment for me and they will see me the same day if I need it.

Can’t easily get an appointment
July 4, 2023
Can’t easily get an appointment for non emergency issues. You can only get emergency same day appointment. Tried to get an appointment for menopause and they wouldn’t see me, felt insulted. Felt like I was taking up too much of her time. Didn’t give any information on support available. Have to find it myself.
Appointments can take 2 weeks

Quite difficult, I think getting in touch over the phone not too much of a problem. Just getting an appointment can take 2 weeks not for when you're ill on the day.

Quite accessible

Quite accessible, waiting times when going to see doctor in surgery can be long but that’s understandable.
ACP confident in diagnosis

I rang at 8:30am, spoke to the receptionist and told her I thought I had a chest infection. They told me to come into the surgery. I saw an advanced nurse practitioner who was confident in their diagnosis , listened to my chest, took my temperature and said it was a chest infection. They asked if it had happened before and asked what I was prescribed, and they gave me medication, steroids, an inhaler and antibiotics.
