Treatment here is fabulous
October 12, 2023
There is no colour in the hospital. I like colours. There is no interaction with a person. No water machines. The treatment here was good. It was fabulous. The consultant was brilliant and he should be commended for his work.
They would make sure I am seen.

QE referred me onto the Royal Orthopaedic. They sent letters to my old address and ended up missing my appointment. I looked at the app and saw that I had one today. I called up and asked for a letter to be sent out but they said it wouldn't come in time. They just said to come up and I will be seen. It all seems alright.
Hyperlink to go paperless doesn't work.

They send you communication asking if you want to go paperless. So they send you a hyperlink to view the appointment details. You put in your details and then it doesn't work so it's all pointless really.
Same day MRI and consultant appointment.

Parking is a nightmare when I was on crutches. It makes it really difficult. I know there's not much they can do about it. The care has been good. I have to be monitored every 6 months. I chase them as I need a couple of months notice to arrange an appointment. I was straight in to have an MRI this morning. the physio was excellent it was a whole week. The only thing they didn't do was sort the O.T as they didn't offer that at the time but I think they thought I had already sorted that as I turned up in a wheelchair. What is really good is they do the MRI and you then see a consultant on the same day which is really good.
Arranged surgery quite quickly.

It's been fine. Been here a few times. I had key hole surgery on my hip and all was arranged quite quickly. It's been 6 months since the surgery. All communication about appointments is fine. Everything was fine with my stay after the surgery too.
The best hospital for treatment I needed.

I've been here 3 times. It's a really nice hospital. Cleanliness, good staff and professionally good. The appointments are a bit last minute. When I visit I have to ensure I have someone to drive me. It's all a bit drop everything and come. Apart from that it's a fantastic hospital. Best hospital for the treatment I needed. Originally they sent me to one in Cambridge but they said it was too difficult and Royal Orthopaedic would be the best one.
Excellent and first class service.
October 12, 2023
First class, excellent. Couldn't praise them enough. From the first time I was referred, the speed of diagnosis, surgery was all good. When I was admitted the ward was closed due to covid. I had a private room even though I was an NHS patient which is great. I found it brilliant. Instead of waiting for letters they phoned means told me to come in the next day. They gave me an option of 3 hospitals as the surgery wasn't available in Wales they have always phoned me direct throughout the whole process.
Waiting times here are great.

I've been here a few times. The waiting times are great, they're usually on time or just after. I arrived early for an x-ray and was seen early.
Been waiting a few months for physiotherapy.

Follow up appointment today. But my initial appointment was quite quick. Referred on from my GP. The staff have been okay. I've been waiting a couple months for physiotherapy. The initial physio was great but I've been waiting for follow up treatment. The operation and everything else was fine.
They saw my friend quickly.

They saw my friend quite quickly. It didn't take long to wait but it took time when he was in there as they had to change the dressings.
