GP is very good but refers unnecessarily

October 11, 2016
GP is very good, but loves referring to unnecessary services.
Went in to be referred to podiatrist (I have plantar fasciitis) but he had to refer to physio & chiropodist first.

Rude receptionist!!!

The service is good when you actually get seen. But the receptionists aren't very friendly i can never get an appt but on day I was 3 mins late for an appointment and I had to wait in a long to cue which meant I was about 10 mins late I came to see the doctor admittedly about a lump on my breast and I haven't had the courage to go back because the reception was so rude to me on top of what I was already feeling. The receptionist that was rude was not the one that I was even sent to see. She was shouting from behind telling me I should have been on time I have a bone condition (osteochondroses) and I can rush so was a little upset I have not been back since and i still have a lump on my breast!!

Great GP's and clinical staff. Shame about a couple of reception staff and the phone system

The care and treatment are second to none. Dr Watson is great. She takes time to explain and really listens.

The phone system and it's options really make no sense and all options go to the same people some of whom are brilliant and some of whom make patients feels like an inconvenience. Reception staff are a mixed bag couple of brilliant ones, but they are off set by those who are short and who fail to welcome patients, make eye contact or who try to listen.

I dislike having to tell the receptionist when I'm making an appointment what I want to see the GP about. I find this intrusive.

Great staff but getting an appointment can be difficult at times

December 18, 2013
I've lived in Kings Heath since 2005 and this has been my local Doctors since then. I've always found the Doctors and Nurses to be extremely helpful with a friendly attitude. It's a fairly old building, but always warm and relaxing in the waiting room. There is a bus stop directly outside and ample parking in the car park or on the street if that is full, there's also a couple of pharmacies only a 2 minute walk away.

The only downside is the fact that you can't book an appointment unless it's weeks in advance, you have two chances to book an appointment for that day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon.

All in all it's very good I'm happy it's my local Doctors.
