Amazing care received.

My appendix operation was done over there and I was an inpatient for 3 days. The care I received was amazing.
Busy and the care isn't as good
January 16, 2024
City hospital is a bit different to the QE. I went there as I needed help and it was closer to work. It was busy and I find that the care is better at the QE. I have severe arthritis across the whole of my body and they only checked my hands. The inpatient care was fine. I also had physiotherapy there on separate occasions which was very good.

Excellent maternity care

Good maternity care for my twins. I had them there a year ago and they were excellent. Could always contact the midwife. They listened to me and kept an eye on me.
They wouldn't let me in with my Autistic son
January 8, 2024
Just after covid they wouldn't let you go in with my Autistic son. I told them he couldn't be left. Then they released him and I had to go searching around Winson Green for him. The third time he was admitted the ward manager finally listened to me and kept an eye on him for me.
Taken over a year for an appointment.

It has taken over a year for an appointment for carpal tunnel. I phoned to ask when it would be and then they gave me an appointment for today so we will see.
The treatment didn't work
January 4, 2024
My 12 year old son has alopecia. The dermatology tried a new drug which helped his hair grow back but he could only have it for 3 months as it was affecting his liver and then they had to stop. His hair then all fell out when the medication stopped. They said there was nothing more they could do and so they referred him to the Children's.
Overworked staff and a dated building
January 4, 2024
Generally speaking it's going down in terms of service. A very old and dated building. A lot of staff are over worked and the good staff have moved on and gone elsewhere.
