City Hospital

I have had 2 hernia related surgeries over there and the care I received was excellent.

The diabetic centre lacks complete communication. I called twice to cancel an appointment as I was out of the country but instead the put a DNA in front of my name and discharged me from the hospital instead of rearranging.

I have visited City hospital a number of times for blood tests and ultrasounds. The staff are good and caring and provide excellent information.

I was there for a few weeks during last summer and the care and treatment I received was very good.

After being diagnosed with a few things including cancer. The treatment at City was excellent. Removed part of cancer but its been at bay. It's sad to see the state of the NHS. I have an ongoing heart problem and I go and see the consultant every now and again. They are excellent.

We are under them for my 6 year old son's epilepsy. They could do better. For instance they scheduled him for an ECG for July. It took them until the end of December for an MRI. Got there and they asked if he can lie down for 20 minutes when they know he can't stay still for 20 seconds. Then they said they would rearrange for March. They are taking a long time to rearrange.

The could do more for sickle cell. Had no check ups in the last 6 months. They booked a telephone appointment for my 17 year old daughter when she would be in college. They won't see her face to face. I think she needs to be seen, it shouldn't be a telephone appointment.

They gave me a walking stick as I have had problems with my leg. The hospital has been very good for me and helpful.

I waited ages before I was seen by the nurse.

Very long wait while I was in pain. I was seen after 3 hours wait by a junior doctor who was clueless about my condition.
