Very busy, rude and unhelpful

January 4, 2024
The hospital is very busy and the staff are very rude and unhelpful. I live 2 minutes away from the hospital but I prefer to go to the Children's because of the better care and support available.

Done no checks on her

January 3, 2024
They operated on my daughters appendix the following day after she was taken in. Her temperature was 40.3 and she was in severe pain. We knew the appendix had burst but they didn't do anything. My daughter ended up in intensive care for 3 days. They did no checks on her and just sent her on her way. She had a tube in her belly that was just pulled out. There were no checks at all. Five days later we took her back and she had 250ml of poison in her pelvis, which they knew was a common side effect, it happens to 1 in 5 children, but still done no checks on this. Now she has a problem with her pelvis and has another collection of fluid, so was referred onto the Children's Hospital.

It's alright, no issues there. They see us quickly and it's clean. Staff are alright, can get lost sometimes but it's usually very good.

Operation

I recently had an operation at the newly opened treatment centre. And I just wanted to say a big thank you to the consultant and his team. The anaesthetist and all the nursing staff for looking after me so well.

I had a chest x-ray and tests. I waited 7 months for an appointment. They then referred me onto the chest clinic which didn't take long.

Rude, unwelcoming and too busy

December 19, 2023
There are too many people and staff are too busy so don't have time for their patients. I find them rude and unwelcoming. I've had to have biopsies on my neck and they don't explain things very well. I feel like I need more information as it's all suspected and not confirmed.
