Quick, efficient compassionate

One thing I should note it isn’t a walk in anymore the name is now south birmingham urgent treatment centre (katie rd). You cannot just walk in and be seen now, you have to phone up and be assessed over the phone first. The initial phone consultation it was hard to get through the line was engaged for quite a while, when I got through I was in a Que for 20 minutes listening to a recorded message. When someone answered it was good they listen to you and then advise what will happen next, I was offered a call back. The call back occurred 4 hours later, but the doctor offered me a slot immediately. The service was very good efficient I found it very informative, he explained the possible causes of symptoms which he said would need to be checked by GP as they do not do blood tests here, he also explained very well what to do next and was very caring saying although they are so busy always call back when needed. Initially I had tried to contact my own GP who had said either call back in 4 days to check if any appointments or to try phoning Katie rd, so I was very happy to be seen at this centre on the same day and would highly recommend them as now the GP has to call me for a follow up.

Ring up they give you an appointment and see you in 30 mins. They are good, rather use this service for my kids.

Can’t get an appointment, receptionist was not good but the doctor was good.

They spoke to my GP

They spoke to my GP and said I should speak to them on Tuesday. On Tuesday they said they will come on Thursday or Friday to see me about my eye.
Seen after 6 hours

My daughter was taken there at 1:15 pm from work as she was not feeling well and she was seen at 7:15 pm by the GP. She waited for 6 hours which is horrible.
I felt not listened too

First they made me wait for 30 mins outside in cold. Once in side appointment was very rushed and I felt not listened too.

On the whole a good service but it's impossible to get through on the phone which you have to do now to order prescriptions.

I had a letter which suggested that my son should be taken to a walking centre on arrival I went on a intercom & explained what had happened they seem he'll bent of I was trying to jump the queue then I had someone come out to me & basically say they nhs service was wrong for sending me there on asking if I was been told wrong information it was no we went round and round I try find out what I could do so in the end I said I'll leave I said I was very on happy for the way I was treated & walk away something was said to & I replied from a distance which would mean I would have to rised voice then I was told I was shouting at this person 2/3 feet I get it voiced is raised but well over 20 feet plus no way if i spoke I would not have been heard anyway I left I made the call which was suggested & listen to the answer message got to the end & phone the number again but got the same answer machine message hence could receive the help I came for they mentioned that appointment was needed on there answer machine message it said different
