poor data protection
July 14, 2014
I was visiting the QEH with my wife. We stopped at costa coffee and were a bit alarmed to see a member of staff using a laptop to acess what looked like patient data in a public area! We then went back to the car park by the old qeh. We were crossing the road and witnessed another member of stafd wheeling a trolley with an open box on top of it with patient notes blowing of all over the pavement. This was very alarming to see such lax attitides and treatment of patient records! Not what you expect from a centre of excellence.

A lot of helpers available at QE. Excellent customer service and no complaints, visit there frequently. Pre-op assessment is fantastic, understand what trteatment I receive.
Skin cancer on nose

Within six weeks of the diagnosis with a melanoma on my nose I was operated on.
Long waiting time
March 20, 2014
I had to take my chronically-ill sister to the out-patient appointment earlier this week for her regular check-up. I was disappointed that we had to wait almost an hour past the agreed appointment time to be seen to and that's excluding the fact that we arrive 30 minutes early. Once my sister was seen to by a junior doctor, he was scheming through her medical history notes to bring him up to speed and was unable to answer two of her questions and advised that she raises them at her appointment with the specialist next week. Utterly disappointing customer satisfaction to say the least.
Excellent physiotherapy service

I have been seen by four or five different physios over the past few years, each for a different part of my arthritic body! All have been superb, giving me lots of time and attention, showing excellent knowledge and skills in resolving or improving the problem.
speedy visit to A&E and quickly referred to other services
December 30, 2013
I had to visit A&E one evening and was pleased to be in and out within 90 minutes, and given an appointment with a specialist for the following morning. I would have appreciated a little more advice for what to do on that first night at home but after seeing the Doctor and Physio the next day I had my questions answered.
