City Hospital

Notice saying Cash office closed all week?, desperately needed to claim travel costs, after appointment made my way across to main city hospital and cash office closed at 3.45. Why so early?

Had colposcopy done by a consultant gynaecologist and a big mistake maken by him and it very nearly killed me. Would never see him again and would never recommend him. Had my surgery @ sandwell hospital. Result of his mistake is I've been left with long lasting problems that can never be fixed. But all other consultants, Drs, nurses and specialists were very very good and certainly can not fault them.

A total disaster. lack of communication meant that my sisters scan was delayed unnecessarily and incompetence of the staff meant the CTV scan was cancelled. I have never known such poor service - a total disgrace to the NHS system.

My 75 year old disabled sister was admitted for a hysterectomy to treat cancer. Understandably she was very anxious but all the time she was in hospital she was treated with kindness, patience and respect by all the staff from consultants to nursing auxiliaries. Nothing was too much trouble, and the treatment she has received has been first class in every respect. Thanks to all concerned and we have no hesitation in recommending this hospital.

Went to the breast clinic this morning, and I just wanted to say a huge thank you. It was quick, easy and pain free. I moved efficiently through assessment, to scan, treatment and then results, all within 45 mins. My mind has now been put at ease. Thank you.

Too many drs different treatments.was sent home with medication missing when my husband went back for them he was told because I had been discharged I was no longer their problem.

can not fault any of my birth experience here, wonderful surroundings, kind helpful staff, frequently recommend to any pregnant women!!

My 18 month old had hurt her ankle so we rush her to A+E on Tuesday at half 8 at half ten not one person had seen her so I ask and the answer I got was disgrace. I thought children at 18 months was a priority to them she was just a inconvenience. Tell me the children unit was closed and I should have came earlier. When she did it, I rushed straight to the car to hospital. How the hell was I meant to know it was closed? It was a nightmare - a disgrace, poor health care, never go here again.

From the time i attended the pre assessment to the time i had my hysterectomy i was treated as a person and not just a number unlike some hospitals i have attended every one of the staff from surgeon' anthetists nurses domestics were fantastic and the hospital should be proud of them a big thank you to the staff of ward d27 for your care after my op couldnt wish for better care THANK YOU EVERYONE

I was taken in late on a Saturday evening with a possible heart attack and feared the hospital would be packed and full of aggressive drunken people. How wrong I was. The media give such a false impression of what to expect. All of the doctors and nurses who treated and dealt with me were
extremely professional, very friendly and totally caring.
It was explained to me in great detail that I would need to stay in overnight and required tests every hour. I received nothing but apologies from them for having to do this despite it was totally required.
When you are admitted in these circumstances you feel shocked, worried and very scared but I was so reassured by everybody that I spent a far more comfortable night than I could have expected.
I have nothing but praise for the staff and how I was dealt with, and at the end I did not have a heart attack and so was even happier!!.
