Negligence

February 21, 2024
My elderly friend went into hospital 3 weeks ago with low oxygen and rapid heart beat. Required a heart ultrasound but this was repeatedly delayed. She got out of bed on her own and tried to walk to the toilet on her own in the middle of the night. She slipped and fell and banged her head on the floor and rapidly deteriorated after that. If the test had been done sooner she would not have been in hospital to have a fall. A doctor said she was medically fit before this happened. The bed rails were not up and no one was supervising.
