Excellent treatment and follow up

I was provided with excellent treatment for a stroke on an urgent basis. Very good follow up support provided since the initial treatment.

It's easier to go to A&E to get referred

November 30, 2023
It's a waiting game everywhere. If you go to your GP you have to wait for weeks to get an appointment. I go to A&E at City and wait for a few hours to be seen by a doctor. At A&E they give you more time and attention than your GP. It is also easier to get referred from A&E to see a consultant.

No faults with the hospital

They were fine. I didn't wait long when I went for an appointment. The staff were good. I didn't find any faults with the hospital.

They were great and ran on time.

They were okay. I had pancreatitis. They thought I was going to die. They sat me down and they were great. The appointment was fine. The appointment also ran on time.

Be prepared to wait hours

November 29, 2023
Very old fashioned building with poor facilities and limited staff. Be prepared to wait for hours if you go there.

I waited 15 hours in A&E

November 28, 2023
I went to A&E and it was really bad. I waited 15 hours and came in on the ambulance. The nurse that saw me was very rude. They did check up on me every now and again though. It's not a nice hospital.

They missed my fracture.

November 28, 2023
I had a minor accident and it took them 8 days to diagnose a hairline fracture. I tired to access them but was told it wasn't an emergency. I find there are patients in the waiting room that are not needing to really be there. That's probably why they screen people and they missed my diagnosis.
