Get me an appointment

March 12, 2025
They will get you an appointment at a walk in or your own GP. They have done that on the several occasions I have used them.

They're another headache

March 11, 2025
That's another headache, they tell you to call your GP. You say this and that to them and they still don't get you an appointment. You just go round in circles. It's not helpful at all.

I had a cracked tooth and they told me to go to an emergency dentist at the Scotts Arms. They answered quickly and asked questions to get me the nearest dentist for an emergency appointment.

They were great

March 5, 2025
We called them as we noticed swelling on my daughters arm after she had fallen over at school. She could use it but they were great and they answered quickly and went through everything, they even asked to speak to the little one. They said it would be best to go the A&E.

They asked to talk to me but I was scared as I was having an asthma attack. I had not one call back, they said they would call to give advice but they never did so I went to urgent care.

February 18, 2025
I called them about ten times when my son was projectile vomiting and seemed lethargic. His soft spot on his head was dipped and we knew something was wrong. They sent us to the hospital.

They try and get you to go to a local centre. They ask questions and then decide where you need to go and where has appointments. They always answer quickly too.

Told to go to hospital

January 27, 2025
They said they'd send a doctor to come out and see me. I waited for a few hours but my condition got worse so when I called them back they told me to go straight to hospital, which I did.

Helpful advise given

January 22, 2025
My daughter had shingles so I ended up calling 111 for support on what to do to help her. They advised to go to the GP or even hospital but try the GP first. Helpful advice and the call was answered in a timely manner.

NHS 111

NHS 111 is much more than a helpline – if you're worried about an urgent medical concern, you can call 111 to speak to a fully trained adviser. Depending on the situation, the NHS 111 team can connect you to a nurse, emergency dentist or even a GP, and can arrange face-to-face appointments if they think you need one. NHS 111 advisers can also assess if you need an ambulance and send one immediately if necessary.
