They cancelled the EHCP appointment and didn't reschedule it. I called and asked for another appointment. The paediatrician finally gave us one and School with SALT. They discussed the EHCP but the paediatrician wasn't really helpful. I don't feel like we're really getting anywhere.
Well organised hospital.

It took days for the hospital to treat me

I had an ileostomy reversal last month, following from bowel cancer resection in 2022. The operation went very well, however my care at the hospital did not go as well. I did not take well to an antibiotic, I could not eat for 5 days, I was sick, my blood pressure went extremely high (unusual for me), the staff did nothing to counteract this. I had no IV fluids, no change in the antibiotic, my wound dressing was not changed from the operation on Tuesday until the Saturday when I raised concerns with the nurse. On the Saturday my daughter (who is a nurse) visited. Thank goodness. When she raised my falling health with the staff nurse, I was within 30 minutes put on an IV, and the antibiotic was stopped. Within 18 hours, my condition improved. Sufficiently to allow me to leave the following Monday. Thank goodness. I was still unwell for the following week, but had constant care AT HOME.
