GP’s are excellent.

It’s always hit & miss with regards to getting appointments but GP’s are excellent.

Pediatricians are good

Can't get appointments, they do prioritise children. They're good at getting appointments with the pediatrician.

Whilst we are happy to hear that you have managed to obtain an appointment for your children with our Practice Nurses (as we do not have a pediatrician at the Surgery), we are sorry to hear that you have struggled to do so for yourself. The Surgery has recently increased its GP capacity- we hope that this growth in our clinical team will ensure patients receive an appointment much sooner.

They are fantastic , can get appointments both face to face and over the phone. You ask what you want appointment wise and they will accommodate.

They are very good. The GP picked up an underline condition during pandemic and provided full support and help.

Very difficult to get appointments

Very good staff but very difficult to get appointments. You have to wait for at least a week before seeing GP.

Can’t even get through on phone

Actually getting the booster seems a million miles away, west Heath surgery, Can’t even get through on phone.

If you are unable to reach us through our telephone lines, please attempt to book in through the National booking system- in doing so, you will be able to check our availability and book in the most suitable appointment for you.

Appalling service

Appalling service. When you have an urgent medical problem and phone for appointment you are given an appointment for 3 weeks time. I am 70 years old and have only had 1 Covid vaccination, that was at the end of January. 4 months later I was still waiting for appointment for second vaccination, finally although disabled with severe mobility problems and Agraphobia managed to get myself to surgery at beginning of May. Although plenty of vaccine and nobody waiting, I was told by the manager XXX to "go away" as did not have appointment. He was extremely rude and disrespectful and would not let me go in for the vaccination although the doctor said I could go in as there was no problem. Now on November 25th I am still waiting for my second Covid vaccination. I have COPD and compromised Immune system ( chemotherapy) amongst other things but I am completely open to getting Covid as I have not been vaccinated. This Surgery could not care less about their patients.

We are sorry to hear of your concerns regarding your recent experiences with the Surgery.
The Surgery offers a variety of appointments for our patients needs, with 'routine' slots being available for booking reasons such as Chronic disease management or follow-up appointments for prior concerns. 'Urgent' appointments are also available for acute concerns that present themselves and require more immediate attention, with these appointments being released on the morning of that day.
Whilst the Surgery is always looking at ways to increase our clinical capacity, our urgent appointments can often be used very quickly due to the diverse needs of our patients. We apologize if you have been unable to utilize these appointments.
We must also apologize for your experience when trying to obtain a Covid-19 vaccination: in the early stages of the program, vaccine supplies were limited with the centre needing to utilize an appointment based booking system to ensure minimal wastage of vaccine. Whilst the centre may have seemed quiet upon your arrival, the vaccination centre would have been unable to offer you a vaccine unless a prior booking had been made.
The Surgery had sent multiple communications to all patients who were eligible for a Covid-19 vaccination- if you had faced a delay in receiving any of your vaccines, please contact the Surgery on 0121 476 1135 to ensure your contact details are correct.
