Excellent Service - friendly helpful staff

It took us a while and a little bit of hard work to obtain an appointment with the BMEC. However once we arrived it didn't take long to be seen, even though the clinic was heaving with people. The service we received was fantastic. However what is true is that they have issues handling the volume of telephone calls as it took us ages to get through as the lines are always engaged.

Very nervous but was made to feel at ease by staff. I had a.lens replacement done. For 35 years I could not see out of my right eye and thanks his team now I can. Thank you all

I recently attended the eye hospital last week after having a very nasty experience after having cosmetic semi permanent make on my eyes. Which horrifically went wrong and I suffered temporary blindness for roughly 16 hours burning and stinging of the eyes, Scratches to both eyes! From the moment I arrived at A&E from the wonderful staff in Triage and One Nurse in particular went above and beyond her expected call of duty in my opinion in looking after me and my care whilst I felt to frightened and in such a vulnerable position being left alone in the hospital, she took great personal care of me, reassured me that everything would be alright and at times did not leave my side until I was feeling calm and settled. She pushed my waiting time down considerable and managed to get me seen very quickly because I was so anxious. What a caring professional Lady. Many many thanks for your professional help and sincere care. God Bless You
I truly think that our country is Great Britain because of our NHS Service. I would be lost without there ongoing care of my many health issues and am forever indebted to them. Nurses are worth their weight in Gold, Are underpaid and do this job because they have caring kind hearted natures.

Easy Check in system, sluggish to respond, but works, unlike human face to face! There was a lady there to help as well .Waiting time not too bad. I think on the whole, my visit was very good and helpful to my eye condition.

Appalling for an eye hospital

No awareness or understanding of eye/vision impairment. Staff are often short with me and rude - no compassion. Told me to "go sit on red chair" when I can't tell what colour the chairs are. It means I can't go on my own to the hospital, always need someone with me. This is because they have no understanding of eye conditions, and I've heard others say the same.
