Long waiting times for appointments
June 30, 2023
Difficult to get an appointment, Lot of cancellation because of long waiting lists. Particularly menopause clinic and physiotherapy clinic are short staffed and long waiting times for appointments.
No one staffing the phone

Call before you go even when in labour. Didn’t answer for 30 minutes, no one staffing the phone. Tried to call before turning up. Ended up in triage, no rooms available. 10 minutes in triage, 20 minutes in side room. Staff are great. Limited resources and limited staff.
Good hospital, nice staff

No long waits, it's a good hospital. The staff are nice too, it's good.
Good care, good communication

All has been fine, I came in at 11 o'clock for a scan and now I am waiting to see the midwife to have an assessment at 1pm. They send letters for my appointment 7-10 days before I'm due to go but one time they sent a letter 4 days before an appointment. But the care is generally very good.
Long waits, more training needed for staff
June 20, 2023
I've been sat waiting 4 hours. I had an appointment come through on the App for today, I turned up and they said the appointment was for the wrong date but said they'd fit me in, but it took an hour to be seen. It's a poorly organised service. Last week I was here for 5.5 hours. I do expect to wait but my husband has to take a whole day off to be able to come to the appointments with me which he cannot always do. I can end up sitting at appointments by myself for a long time. I've had some issues with them in the past which meant I had to make a complaint to PALS about the care. But the narrative needs to change and some staff could do with more training.
Good, no long waits, good communication

The hospital has been good with no long waits. They let me know what's going on with my baby.
Can wait a long time.

It's great, it's fine. Staff have been great and the communication has been fine. Last time they said it could be 2 hours and ended up waiting 7 but today I have only been waiting for 4 hours. I've came prepared today with food and drinks.
Can see there's been changes, nice staff.

It's okay, it's been pretty quick this time around. When I had my other child here 3 years ago the waiting times were longer. One time I went in at 3pm and was out at 7pm. This time I can see there's been lots of changes. The staff are relatively nice and there's good communication.
Generally everything is okay

As usual it's been okay, there has been a little bit of waiting. My scan was moved forward this morning and the difference between the scan and clinic, it was over an hour. They don't give a specific time for the clinic hours and they're running a little behind today. But generally, everything is fine. The whole experience has been okay - I'm feeling positive.
Not told about tumor, disappointed in the NHS
June 5, 2023
I was referred to the women's after a scan found I had a problem with a disc in my spine. I thought they had got it wrong as I did not have any issues for why I would have to go there. I turned up on the day and they told me I was going for a CT scan. Afterwards the nurses were asking me what symptoms I had and I was very confused. They told me that the scan I'd had the Queen Elizabeth Hospital back in August 2022 had shown I had a tumor on my ovary. Not one person had told me this, not even my own doctor. I am so disappointed in the NHS.
