OHP - Lordswood House Medical Practice

The GP's are excellent but the reception staff are quite rude and unprofessional in dealing with patients.

I had been with them since I was younger. Having trouble getting appointments and the amalgamation of practices didn't work and they would send you to practices further away. I ended up changing practices because of this. It just didn't work for me.

I wanted to make a routine appointment, as per contract they need to be open till 1830.It is on their website as well
I called a few times , the surgery was closed at 1720!!!!

The GP is very good and getting an appointment is quite easy.

No good. You are waiting sometimes for a long time for appointments. It's a long wait on the phone. 2 to 3 hours and then they're fully booked. No same day appointments and they don't give you any alternative. It's very very hard.

Very engaging and friendly staff. At times waiting is long but it's okay.

I have been with them for a very long time. My GP was very good and helpful. She retired and nobody informed us about it. We came to know when we went for an appointment.

Last week my husband rang them and they picked the phone on first ring and gave him same day appointment.

So difficult to see a GP at all. Never 'your' GP. Receptionists brusque and ask loudly what is your problem before offering appointment. That is if there is one available that day. Not possible to book appointment at all. You can only take what is available that day or come back the next. Calling on phone for appointment a joke! Basically rude. If you are offered appointment you wait in a huge area that is virtually empty. If you come for blood tests Reception often send you to wrong waiting point. I am a patient of 40 yrs with heart problems awaiting surgery I need to see a GP who 'knows' me! Nursing staff are excellent and most GPs good but sometimes have obviously not read my notes. I dread to think what they record in their notes.. A badly run practice that leaves patients at the mercy of a very young and arrogant team of Reception Staff!
